Lately I've been following work of David Fleck. An artist I've come to admire very much. He uses lots of watercolour and inks to create wonderful dreamlike qualities in his work.
Looking at his work and one or two other artists really inspired me to do a watercolour piece. I love using paints but almost always use acrylics so it was a nice change to just be a bit experimental and looser with my work (as I'm told I should be.)
Even though this only took 5 minutes to do (at 1 this morning!) it was good to create something I felt so inspired to do and something which wasn't college related. Something I created purely because I wanted to. Will definitely use more watercolour to get effects like this in the future.

Toy animation

So... the final animation never quite got completed. All the stills done but without music/ sounds but I think it was still a good project to do. Here's a few stills from a college project of my toy dog "sam" creating peace in the world. The idea was to look at 3 different acts of conflict in the world and Sam makes them peaceful by having them simply look into his "puppy dog eyes" and fixes the conflicts. Good old sam

Currently working on a hefty 3 projects at the moment Little White lies magazine cover, Picture book and a book with all our work from this year. So needless to say I'm quite a bit busy at the moment. Trying to keep sane while juggling all that but will try to keep posting as often as I can :)
